Earlier this week, we visited a customer who was having problems with distortion and finish quality when laser cutting bevels along narrow steel plate. I took along our BM-25 plate bevelling machine to see how mechanical bevelling compared.

Joel is the Marketing Manager at JEI spending most of his time creating brochures, editing videos, and putting together campaigns, rather than demonstrating machines. In fact, this was Joel's first customer demonstration with the BM-25. A practice run had taken place back at base a few days earlier, but that was about it!

Joel went on to state: "And I've got to say, I was surprised at just how easy it was to operate. If I can get to grips with it that quickly, I'm pretty confident someone working in a steel fabrication workshop would take to it like a duck to water!. Within seconds, it was travelling along the plate, removing material, and leaving behind a clean, consistent bevel. When we compared the results side by side, the difference in finish was clear. The customer kindly filmed the demonstration and sent me the footage afterwards, so I thought I'd share it. Having watched the video back, I think my elbow deserves the starring credit. Anyway, have a watch and judge the results for yourself.”

Not bad for someone who normally spends his days behind a computer. Find out more at https://www.jeiuk.com/bm-25.
